Sara Barter is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She is passionate about helping children and families find support and strength during difficult times. Sara believes that there is hope in every situation and counseling can help forge a path toward healing.
Sara has been serving in the mental health field since 2003. She has worked with domestic violence victims, families in need of intensive parenting education, young first time mothers and fathers, clients fighting for their marriage, and individuals struggling with a variety of mental health concerns. Most of Sara’s work has been centered around children. She has worked in schools, in a play therapy center, and in family’s homes to support and encourage children toward improved mental health.
Sara has been trained in parenting skills, early childhood development, play therapy, the effects of poverty on families, domestic violence, attachment, and the effects of trauma. Sara’s education background includes an MS in Professional Counseling from Lee University and an MEd in School Counseling from Wright State University.
