Betsy Petitjean is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio who works with children and families. Betsy has an eclectic approach with regards to her training background due to the variety of settings in which she has practiced: school-based, office-based, and intensive home-based services. Through various evidence-based techniques and therapies, Betsy helps children find their own individual strengths and attributes, as well as aids them in resolving their own problems and challenges which will come naturally to them over time.
Betsy is a Greater Cincinnati native, who earned her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Wright State University and bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Betsy has worked with children in a variety of capacities for the past 15 years, including in a local church nursery, summer camp counselor, working in office, school and home settings with a several agencies in Hamilton and Warren County.
Betsy has a passion for counseling within the school-based setting so that she can assist and support not only children and their families, but also teachers and school staff.
Besides counseling, Betsy enjoys crocheting and spending time with her family. She enjoys time with her husband, foster children, and her dogs (Jackie Chew and Scooby Doo).
