Maddie Baenziger is a Licensed Social Worker pursuing a master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Cincinnati. Maddie graduated from UC in May of 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in social work and a minor in Spanish. Throughout her time in undergraduate school, she gained experience working with men and women with histories of trauma, human trafficking, mental illness, and substance use disorder. While working with different populations, she has provided a diverse range of services to help her clients, including, case management services, group therapy, agency curriculum development, one-on-one support services, and an emphasis on trauma-informed care in every interaction with her clients. Maddie also has experience working in the criminal justice system ensuring individuals convicted of felonies receive behavioral health care instead of returning to prison.
Maddie believes that every individual is worthy of a second chance, no matter their story. She uses this belief in her practice, while also bringing in her passion for mental health. Through her education, training, and experiences, she has decided to focus on children and adolescent mental health treatment in her graduate program. Maddie was chosen to be a participant in the Bear-CAT fellowship program that gives students extensive training on best clinical practices for children, adolescents, and transitional-age youth. This program will help her best serve her population at Goshen local schools, where she will be providing therapy to students
