Saffa Parveen is a dedicated social work professional currently pursuing her Master of Social Work degree at Miami University. She is expected to graduate with advanced standing in Spring 2025. Prior to her graduate studies, Saffa earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Miami University in Spring 2023.
Throughout her academic journey, Saffa has gained valuable experience in various social work settings. She is currently working as a Treatment Coordinator at the National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) as a treatment coordinator, where she supports youth in foster care and foster families. Previously, she worked at Hamilton County Jobs & Family Services Children's Services as an Assessments Caseworker. Additionally, Saffa has completed internships at a middle school for a school counselor, The United Way of Delaware County, Franklin County Juvenile Court, and a juvenile and family law office.
Driven by a passion for social justice and youth advocacy, Saffa is committed to creating safe and equitable environments for all. Her empathetic nature and commitment to creating safe, equitable environments for all align perfectly with the goals of the social work profession.
Outside of school, she is passionate about fashion and sustainability. She owns and operates her own business, where she curates ethically sourced y2k and vintage clothing, promoting size-inclusivity and environmental responsibility. Additionally, Saffa enjoys spending quality time with friends and family!
