Marilyn H. Robinson, MSW, LISW-S, is a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the state of Ohio with a supervision designation. Marilyn completed her bachelor’s degree in public relations at Brigham Young
University in Provo, Utah, and her master’s degree in social work at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio.
Marilyn has over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, who have experienced significant mental health disorders in the Clermont County and the greater Cincinnati area.
Marilyn has worked as a group facilitator for children who have lost siblings and parents at Fernside: A Place for Grieving Children and co-directed a camp for grieving children for Fernside and Hospice of Cincinnati. After graduating with her master’s degree, Marilyn worked as a therapist in the day treatment setting, and as a coordinator of the day treatment program at Child Focus in Clermont County.
Marilyn is certified in Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavior (TFCBT). She also specializes in CBT and Non-Violent Crisis Prevention and Intervention. She has extensive experience working with clients that have mood disorders, anxiety disorders, as well as with those who have experienced trauma and grief.
Marilyn feels a deep commitment to children and their families. She believes children are our future and strong families are the foundation of our country. Marilyn believes children are resilient and can overcome tragedy, loss, disappointment, and unfairness. As a social worker, Marilyn works to strengthen, encourage, and support the clients she serves so they can have healthy relationships, happy lives, and strong families.
Marilyn spends most of her time with her husband, three children, eight grandchildren, and her cat Zoe. She loves animals, being outdoors, motorcycles, music and learning new things.
