Lauren Maas is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in the state of Ohio. Lauren grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Xavier University. Next, she went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Social Work with a Certification in Mental Health from the University of Pittsburgh. She has experience working with clients of all ages. Lauren began her career working for a foster care agency and has a passion for counseling children of all ages who have experienced trauma. Lauren has experience counseling children in an office setting, a school setting, and in a Partial Hospitalization Program. Additionally, Lauren has worked with adults who have experienced trauma, Depression, and Anxiety. Lauren utilizes an eclectic approach with elements of Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Play Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Overall, Lauren enjoys instilling hope in her clients’ futures and helping them meet their goals to live healthier lives.
While she is not working, Lauren enjoys participating in outdoor activities, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Lauren was married in July of 2020 and enjoys decorating her new home and working on home projects with her husband.
