Megan Hlavac is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Ohio. She is experienced in working with individuals and groups experiencing anxiety, addictions, mood disorders, relationship concerns and a variety of other topics. Megan received her Master’s degree from Xavier University in Community Mental Health and her Bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. She developed her passion for working in the mental health field, especially with adolescents, while doing volunteer work throughout her time at Bowling Green.
Megan uses a client-focused, strength-based approach to counseling. Her practice uses evidence-based mindfulness, diabolical behavior therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to help her clients reach their treatment goals. Megan collaborates with parents and teachers as necessary to encourage a holistic approach for her clients. She values creating a counseling environment that is welcoming and safe for all clients to express themselves and feel empowered to work towards their goals.
Outside of work, Megan loves hiking with her husband and two dogs, playing tennis, reading, and cheering on all her favorite teams and athletes in football, college basketball, tennis, and golf.
