Wendy Grothjan, MSW, LSW

Wendy completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Wright State University and her Master’s Degree in Social Work with a specialization in Trauma from Chamberlain University. Wendy is an MLSW with 30 years of experience in the Mental Health field. Wendy has worked with a wide variety of individuals and has worked for the past 23 years in a school setting with at risk children and families. Wendy serves adolescents, adults, and families in the following areas: 

• Teen Issues such as Peer Pressure, Self Esteem, etc.

• Parent/Child or Partner Relational Problems

• Dating Violence/Abuse

• Non-Suicidal Self-Harm Behavior

• Obsessions and Compulsions

• Mood Disorders

• Personality Disorders

• Anxiety Disorders

• Physical, Sexual, Emotional Abuse

• Anger and Stress Management

Wendy utilizes a blend of Cognitive Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, Solution focused, and Psycho-Education with the individuals she serves. Her theory is to help individuals who have the motivation and desire to improve and courage to grow through vulnerability and hard work to accomplish the goals they desire.
