Carla Thomason is a Licensed Social Worker in Ohio, with over 40 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The University of Phoenix and a master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University in New York. Carla has extensive experience across various settings, including counseling, residential treatment facilities, foster care, and community agencies supporting at-risk youth and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Carla utilizes a blend of trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing to help individuals cope with triggers, adopt new perspectives, and reshape thought patterns. She works to uncover the origins of your current mindset and challenges, turning obstacles into opportunities for self-discovery. Through assignments, you will identify problem areas, understand their impacts, and transform them into stepping stones for healing. Carla believes you are the expert in your own life, and she is here to help you find the answers within you.
When not supporting others or spending time with family, Carla enjoys singing, painting, writing poetry, and playing drums.
