Danielle Seymore is a licensed Social Worker in the state of Ohio who specializes in treating trauma, stress-related disorders, anxiety, depression, reactive attachment disorders, and dissociative disorders in adolescents and adults.
Danielle is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, adults, families, and foster/adoptive parents to find peace, hope, healing, and connection throughout life's journey. Danielle enjoys helping others develop an understanding of their life journey and how it impacted them mentally, emotionally, behaviorally, spiritually, and physically. Danielle assists individuals in making sense of their past as they establish the tools and connections to develop peace, healing, and empowerment to find their voice and reach their fullest potential.
Danielle understands that when working with children, healing starts with the whole family system and thrives on assisting individuals and the family to strengthen connection and attachment to improve behavioral and mental health challenges.
Danielle uses a person-centered and attachment-based approach to provide a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment. She utilizes a holistic approach in her practice and pulls from an array of therapeutic modalities to best meet the individual and family's needs. She is informed in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness practice, Internal Family Systems, Play Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Strengths-Based Therapy. Danielle adapts her therapeutic approach to meet the needs of the child, adolescent, adult, and family.
Danielle received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Social Work from the University of Cincinnati. Her professional journey began in day treatment behavioral health settings, where she supported children and adolescents through therapeutic interventions and crisis management. Her journey continued into diverse settings such as behavioral health day treatment, community-based programs, and school-based therapy. Danielle currently provides outpatient and telehealth therapy.
Before pursuing her Social Work degree, Danielle dedicated her years to supporting children, adolescents, and parents involved in foster care. She played a pivotal role on a collaborative team to ensure optimal outcomes for children. Danielle understands the emotions and behaviors children, adolescents, and families face before adoption and post-adoption. In her personal life, Danielle has experience establishing healthy pre/post-adoption relationships with biological families and practices enforcing healthy boundaries when necessary while navigating an open adoption. Danielle also understands the impact and effects of adoption on the adoptee, biological family, and adoptee family unit as a whole.
In her free time, Danielle finds joy in hiking with her husband, children, and beloved dogs, Zeke and Levi. Her interests include faith and spirituality, quality time at the pool, playing board games, and exploring new destinations through travel. Her dedication to her profession and commitment to family underscores her belief in the transformative power of supportive relationships.I
