Meagan Parker is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio. She has experience providing individual and family therapy with children, adolescents, and adults. She incorporates an eclectic counseling style as she understands that all individuals are not created equal and present with unique needs, concerns, and preferences. She prioritizes providing therapy that is strength based and solution focused in order to promote client resilience and client awareness of their unique capabilities. She believes that it is essential to build a trusting therapeutic relationship in order to effectively support her client’s in their journey towards growth and change. She prioritizes providing a safe and nonjudgmental atmosphere to support client openness.
A Cincinnati native, Meagan earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northern Kentucky University and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northern Kentucky University. She has 4 years of experience working with children, teenagers, and adults in a variety of settings including school based counseling, in home therapy, and community based therapy services. She has experience providing intensive therapy services to families involved with Children’s Services in an effort to assist with stabilization and reunification of families. Meagan also has experience providing school based mental health services within a Cincinnati public school junior high school and high school setting. She has experience working with children, teens, and adults with a number of needs associated with depression, anxiety, trauma exposure, and disruptive behavior difficulties.
Outside of her role as a counselor, Meagan enjoys candle making, yoga, and binge watching any series that seems appealing.
